SURVEY LINK HERE The Public Building Commission of Chicago, Chicago Department of Transportation, Chicago Park District and US Army Corps of Engineers are holding a second public meeting regarding the Morgan Shoal Revetment Reconstruction Update. This is the second meeting of its kind and is scheduled for Thursday, March 21, 2024 from 5-7pm at Kennicott Park.
We need lots of people to show up and ask questions, voice concerns, let the city know that we care about our shared public natural spaces. Here are some images of the city's proposal, including samples of the quarried rocks proposed to replace current pebbles. Advocates came prepared with questions, insisted that our questions be answered as a group, and had artistic signs to demonstrate human and non-human priorities for Pebble Beach
